Arriving for your meal by boat only enhances the experience -- an option at Scotty's, where humble plastic tables await, shaded from the sun by an awning. As you drink deeply an ice-cold beer (or, if you're working, an ice-cold tea), you can watch the boats chug past the outdoor patio. The seafood-slanted fare is simple but includes a tasty seafood chowder and a juicy and flavorful blackened dolphin sandwich -- a substantial slice of fish aptly accented by a slathering of tartar sauce and a caesar salad side.

Scotty’s Landing was an institution in Coconut Grove and one of the few spots where you could have a drink and a burger overlooking Biscayne Bay. The restaurant was scraped to the ground a few years ago to make way for Regatta Harbour, a 9.5 acre mixed use project.

Any Scotty’s Landing fans watching? The beloved Coconut Grove restaurant and bar is just a memory now, but it’s long-awaited replacement is finally open. Bayshore Club promises a whole new, elevated experience.
Rest in peace, Scotty’s Landing. We have to talk about it for a second. This was one of my favorite restaurants. The Coconut Grove institution closed here in 2019, and many of us still miss those plastic chairs. It was a casual spot. A place you could always come, feel comfortable.
