The Lorraine Motel still stands on Mulberry Street. It is instantly recognizable, and appears as though suspended in another time. Two large cars—a white 1959 Dodge Royal with lime green fins and a white 1968 Cadillac—are parked in front of the motel, and the aqua doors to the rooms are numbered with a sparse font.

These cars are replicas of the ones parked at the Lorraine Motel the night Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was killed. The National Civil Rights Museum is located at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee.

Bel Airs came with features found on cars in the lower models ranges plus interior carpet, chrome headliner bands on hardtops, chrome spears on front fenders, stainless steel window moldings, full wheel covers, and a Ferrari-inspired front grille.

The Chevrolet Bel Air debuted in 1950 and enchanted people for the next 25 years. With its classic look, two-toned paint jobs, big steering wheels, chrome detailing, convertibles, V8 engines and hardtops, the Chevy Bel Air had people falling in love.
