Riksplan is the place and park between Riksdagshuset and Norrbro on Helgeandsholmen in Stockholm .

The name Riksplan was decided in 1925 for the open space between Riksdagshuset and Norrbro. The appearance of the place has been lively debated ever since the inauguration of the Riksdagshuset in 1905. In connection with the reconstruction and extension of the Riksdagshuset in 1980–1983, archaeological excavations were also carried out here, the temporary pit was soon called the Riksgropen . Today's appearance was created in 1983, where the direction of the promenade is connected to the direction of the original settlement on Helgeandsholmen. In the northeast corner of Riksplan is the court stable's old marble fodder table, which stood in Nicodemus Tessindy's royal stables on Helgeandsholmen.

At Riksplan there is also a glass obelisk , it serves as a light inlet for the Medieval Museum , which is under Riksplan. The following text by Alf Henrikson is engraved on the obelisk's four sides :

This land is thousands of years old
Beaches were raised out of the sea
Sound became narrow streams
Stockholm is Mälaren's lock.
