Whale watching on the Big Sur Coast is possible from your room at the Lucia Lodge. The lodge has been around since the 1930’s catering to tourists driving the scenic Highway 1 route between Los Angeles and the Bay Area. They have 10 cabins for rent and every one of them has an ocean view. Nearby are state parks, sandy beaches, Hearst Castle, and hiking trails galore near Big Sur Station.
