Pegasus Constellation Stars
Pegasus constellation, the Winged Horse, is a northern constellation above Aquarius constellation and below Cygnus constellation, between Delphinius constellation and Andromeda constellation. It spans 40 degrees of the zodiac in the signs of Aries and Pisces and contains 16 named fixed stars.

Constellation Pegasus the Flying Horse gives ambition, vanity, intuition, enthusiasm, caprice, and bad judgment. It prevails against the diseases of horses and preserves horsemen in battle. According to Ptolemy, the bright stars are like Mars and Mercury (high enterprise, combative, destructive. If rising, rash, very obstinate, ruined by headstrong and precipitate conduct. If culminating, changeable in business.)

Fixed star Enif, Epsilon Pegasi, is a 2.38 magnitude yellow and blue star on the nose of the Winged Horse, constellation Pegasus. It is the brightest star in the constellation.

The traditional name Enif is derived from the Arabic word for “nose” due to its position as the muzzle of Pegasus. It has also been called “Fom al Feras,” from the Arabic for “The horses’ mouth,” Latinised to “Os Equi.”

Enif gives danger in battle. It has the spectral type K2, so it is like Mars. It, therefore, portends danger but success in war, sports and business.

The Sun joins Markab on March 13
Fixed star Markab, Alpha Pegasi, is a white star located in the Saddle of the Winged Horse, Pegasus constellation. The traditional name Markab derives from the Arabic word مركب (markab) which means the saddle of the horse.

The three main stars of Pegasus all have a similar astrological influence, those being Scheat, Markab and Algenib.

The Sun joins Scheat on March 19
Fixed star Scheat, Beta Pegasi, is a 2.4 magnitude giant red star on the leg of the Winged Horse, Constellation Pegasus. The traditional name of Scheat was derived from the Arabic Al Sā’id “the upper arm”, or from Sa’d.

Fixed star Scheat causes extreme misfortune, murder, suicide, and drowning. According to Ptolemy, it is of the nature of Mars and Mercury; to Simmonite, of Saturn; to other authors, of Saturn and Mercury; and, to Alvidas, of Neptune in square to Saturn or Mars.

Fixed star Markab gives honor, riches, fortune, danger from fevers, cuts, blows, stabs and fire and a violent death.

Tau Pegasi is a 4.6-magnitude star in the constellation Pegasus. The star bore the traditional names Salm, Kerb (or El Khereb) and Markab (often spelled Markeb), a name shared with Alpha Pegasi, k Puppis and Kappa Velorum.

In 2016, Tau Pegasi was officially named Salm, Alpha Pegasi was named Markab, and Kappa Velorum named Markeb. A Salm is a leathern bucket.

Fixed star Kerb portends an indirect danger, as from a jilted lover.

The Sun joins Algenib on March 29
Fixed star Algenib, Gamma Pegasi, is a 2.8 magnitude blue-white star on the tip of the wing of the Winged Horse, Pegasus constellation.

The three main stars of Pegasus all have a similar astrological influence, those being Scheat, Markab and Algenib.

Fixed star Algenib gives notoriety, dishonor, violence, and misfortune and denotes the naked and poor professional beggar.
