THE FIORELLA STORY
In 1892, Luigi Fiorella opened his eponymous storefront in Philadelphia’s iconically historic district – the Italian Market. Over time the Fiorella name became synonymous with the highest quality, best in class, sausage.

Over a century later, when Fiorella’s landmark sausage business closed, and the family was looking for the right buyer for the building. Serendipitously, Marc Vetri was searching for the perfect space to house a pasta bar. Fiorella met Vetri, and the rest is South Philly history. The Fiorella family gave Marc their blessing to keep their name alive – along with the 220-pound, solid-brass, cash register—one of the last of its kind and it’s still functioning today.

FIORELLA TODAY
In a nod to the rich history of Fiorella, Marc kept as much of the storefront intact as possible and restored most of the space to it’s original grandeur. Because of this, the Fiorella you see today is still the intimate space you’re used to. Seating options include our outdoor patio and indoor dining, where you will find a selection of antipasti, pasta, and dessert. Marc brings decades of technique and experience to the small space, creating a truly unique dining experience.

We recommend booking reservations via Tock by clicking the tab on the left side of this page entitled, “RESERVATIONS”. The team has created an intimate selection of beverages: wine by the glass or by the bottle, house-made cocktails, beer, and soft drinks for you to enjoy.

We’re excited to share the history of Fiorella, and we look forward to creating new memories with you in this hallowed space.
