Tre Scalini is actually a restaurat cafè located in Piazza Navona, but it has made a name for itself in the gelato world since opening in the late 19th century. Aside from gelato, which you can get many good places in Rome, what can't find in Rome too often is good tartufo. Tartufo is an Italian specialty dessert typical in the Southern region of Italy mafe with rich, creamy ice cream drenched in chocolate or coffee.
