Real Iglesia Parroquial de Santiago y San Juan Bautista

The Road to Santiago
The parish of Santiago and San Juan Bautista is the oldest Jacobean temple in all of Madrid, located just 200 m from the Almudena Cathedral, it is an ideal place to start the Camino de Santiago from Madrid. For this reason, every year we usually deliver more than 10,000 pilgrimage credentials to the Camino de Santiago. Although we are not an office for pilgrims, we intend to grow in the missionary and Jacobean vocation of the parish.

The Camino de Santiago, known in English as the Way of St James, is a network of pilgrims' ways or pilgrimages leading to the shrine of the apostle Saint James the Great in the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia in northwestern Spain, where tradition holds that the remains of the apostle are buried.
